Overview

There are all many windsurfing sites to suit your windsurfing skills and preferences. If you prefer flat-water free sailing, Pong-Pong beach might be your top choice. If you are a hard-core wave sailer, Longmen beach should be your top pick. If you like bump and jump and crave for long distance at high speed, you can try Asian Windsurfing Tour (AWT) race site, Sailing Center at Guan-In-Ting. If you like flat water sailing or kiting, Aimem beach is a very good choice. All these sites are blessed with 25-45 knots wind from mid-September to mid-April next-year.
Pong-Pong Beach

Pong-Pong Beach is located near a off-shore island, Bird Island. You have to drive to Chitou(20 minutes from Sunrise B&B) and then ride a charter boat for20 minutes. Once you arrive at Pong-Pong Beach, you are welcome by totally flat pristine water and white sandy beach. Then you can enjoy stree free free sailing or try some flat-water free-style sailing.
Longmen Beach

This is the most convenient sailing spot for Sunrise B&B guests. You can launch directly from Guoye Harbor or you can take a 3-minute drive to Longmen Beach and launch from the beach. The wave is about shoulder high at 25 knot and increase to mast high when wind increases to 45 knot. You can jump, loop or ride waves. You can also do free-style sailing when water is flat at low tide.
Sailing Center at Guan-In-Ting

If you enjoy racing, you should definitely try sailing at this AWT race site. Launching from sailing Center at Guan-In-Ting, you can sail across Penghu Bay and reach Hsiyu (West Island). The record time is under 5 minutes, set by windsurfing legends like Antion Abeau, Matt Prichard and Anders Brigal.
Aimen Beach

Aimen beach is located close to Makung Airport. Side-offshore wind makes the water very flat here. It is an ideal place for seed sailing. It is also an ideal learning place for kite-boarder in the summer.
